(the highest Romanian rating) and includes 6 luxury apartments, two of which
are available to rent within the grounds of the Country Club, . The apartments
have English maisonette architecture, arranged on two floors and fitted to
the highest western standard. La Mesteceni has an outstanding terrace, 52
m long with a warm south-easterly aspect and superb views to the hills of
the Cālnic village . The gardens and common areas are permanently mantained
at the highest level.
The Club is only 5 km from Sebes in the County of Alba and is
situated in that romantic area of Romania known as Transylvania.
The region is an elevated plateau entirely surrounded by the Transylvanian
Alps, a range of the Carpathian Mountains made famous
by Bram Stoker in his novel Dracula published at the end of the 19th
century. Bran Castle, where Count Dracula is supposed to have lived,
is nearby and currently open to tourists.

The English Riding School offers a wide range of facilities for riders of all abilities. Various travel options are open to
the visitor. From the UK the most direct is to fly to Bucharest, then take
an internal flight to Sibiu. Car hire is available at either Bucharest or
Sibiu. An alternative is to fly to Budapest (thus taking advantage of low
air fares), then take a train to Alba Iulia (about 6 hours). Arrangements
can be made for you to be met at either Alba Iulia railway station or Sibiu
Airport.
